#SHEPADDLES Weekender - 23rd - 25th June 2023

Join us for a full weekend of fun!

Arrival Friday afternoon between 2pm-7pm to set up your tent and familiarise yourself with the surroundings, join us in the entertainment tent at 8pm for a lovely warm welcome, followed by a chill around the campfire with hot chocolates and s'mores around 9pm.

Saturday starts with an 8am swim for those who fancy it, before the briefing for the day at 9am.The day will consist of a rotation of activities between 10am-1pm before stopping for a re fuel. The afternoon activities will run with another rotation from 2pm-5pm. The evenings entertainment will start at 7pm with a dinner and disco.

Sunday will consist of a fun filled mini triathlon for all (briefing at 9am), consisting of paddle boarding or kayaking followed by a 5k run, jog or walk and then ending with a swim. This really is for everyone and we encourage you to take it at your own pace and to enjoy the supportive atmosphere of the day. The weekend will conclude with a presentation around 3pm.

All of the activities with be inclusive for all abilities with suitable training and guidance along the way.

You are more than welcome to bring your own kit for use over the weekend however all kit will be supplied including wetsuits and buoyancy aids.

The onsite cafe and snack shack will be open during your stay serving a range of hot and cold food, snacks, drinks and treats.

You must bring your own tent, please be aware that space is limited so we ask on this occasion to be resourceful of space the smaller the tent the better, the camping field can also get very muddy so please be prepared for this (camping festival vibes). If you can share a tent that would be amazing could you please email us after you're booking the size of your tent and how many occupants.

There are on site toilets and changing rooms and outside cold showers.

You will be contacted nearer the time for food orders and can let us know at this time of any dietary requirements.

  • Yoga mat if you have one
  • Warm clothes for after water activities
  • Towel
  • Tent and ground sheet
  • Torch
  • Safety pins for race numbers
  • Suitable walking or running trainers.
  • Wet shoes
  • Slip on shoes for between activities (the ground is stoney)
  • Warm hat for after water activities
  • Sun cream and protection
  • Camping chair

Important notes:

  • Showers are outside cold showers
  • The venue can get muddy
  • The Island is tidal please check tide times before planning your arrival time.
  • This event will run whether rain or shine so please dress appropriately.
  • No fire’s, bbq’s or camping stoves are allowed on site for this event.
  • There will be hot water available for guests - bring your own flask.
  • We have a strict no glass policy on site please be considerate of this.
  • Tent space is limited please try to bring a small sized tent.
