MORE THAN JUST A BOATING LAKE! CALL: 07904 196 238
Open Water Swimming has without a doubt been one of the most popular outdoor activities for Summer 2020.
But open water swimming isn’t just for triathletes or club swimmers, everyone should be able to enjoy it. So whether you are a heads up breast stroke swimmer or heads down front crawler, the open water is for you.
Water temperatures in the UK can range from around 15-26c in the summer so it is important to acclimatise properly and be aware of your own swimming ability and experience.
Wetsuits are optional at the lake, but if you chose to swim without one, it is mandatory to use a tow float, this is for visibility and safety.
Introductions to open water sessions are available year round in a group or individual basis. These sessions are ideal for anyone new to open water and consist of a brief chat on dry land covering safety information and then the session continues in the water getting acclimatised, learning float to live and then ends with a swim around the lake.
As well as intro sessions, we can also offer private coaching sessions. These sessions are for anyone from nervous swimmers who want more confidence in the water, stroke analysis, improving efficiency in your chosen stroke and coaching to events such as triathlons or open water races.
